Good morning, bloggers! How are you today?
I thought today is a good day to share remaining two of my canvas paintings.
This is a typical painting of scenery which every art lover paints, to learn different types of strokes used for mountains, trees, water, sky and rocks. It exudes a combination of peace, serenity and vibrancy which I love. On the other hand, it’s nothing ‘exclusive’. I’ll bet you’ve seen these kind of paintings atleast a couple of times in your life.
Moving on, this is lord Ganesha in abstract form:
This, my friends, is my first canvas painting ever. It was such an amazing experience swirling the paint brush dipped in orange colour on the white canvas. It gave me a sense of power, that I can convert this dull white fabric into something attractive (if everything works out fine, that is).
Though I was excited, my nervousness was pulling me back. My teacher noticed my trepidation and said “Don’t worry, we’ll be able to repair any mistakes you make. Just let your hands free on the canvas.” It was a liberating feeling, to say the least.
Side note for those who are interested in art: All the black parts on the canvas is actually painted with a sponge and stenciled with newspaper. It’s called ‘Stippling’.
By the way, this is where I’ve put up my painting:
A small bonus just for you:
This is something I painted on a paper using poster colours. Just something random. I’ve always wanted to know how it would be to have wings and fly, fly high. Away from the shackles normal lives. The powerless people, the helpless people leading ordinary lives – to the world with endless opportunities, where gender wouldn’t be a criteria for judgement, where mental power overpowered physical power. A place where people would be able fly to a place which they think is right, not their parents or friends or anyone else. A place which suits them. They would be flying to a place which they think is the brightest.
Um, okay. I guess I got a little carried away.
Anyway, I hope you liked my paintings! If you think I need improvement in some places, please point it out to me. I’ll be grateful. 🙂
All the paintings are wonderful! Even I paint as it liberates me- writing and painting- the two things that transports me to another world!
Hope you feel the same,S!

Okay, you have to stop speaking in Kannada because I really have trouble replying to the comments in Kannada. 😛
And, so that no one else gets confused, I removed the picture from my post! Now it’s just a feature image!

Thank you! The third painting is actually my own imagination, the other two – I’ve copied from a picture.
And yes, you’re right. The rocks don’t look real. I hate the rocks. But my teacher forced me to do it that way. 😛

Great! keep it up..
imagination is the undying brush of an artist. I guess. you should not listen to your teacher or copy either :p
Imagine and deliver the best!!

Hahah, the first four paintings are a part of my training with my teacher. If I don’t listen to her and make the paintings just like they are in the image, whats the use of training? 😛

I am not asking you to copy… what i meant was to use the imagination and deliver rather copying or listening to your teacher who made you paint those rocks.

Yeah I know what you meant.
It’s just that listening to my teacher was a part of learning. If I wouldn’t have learnt I wouldn’t have been able to paint my imagination..
Learning is always the first step.
