To The Girl in 9th Standard

on

Hang in there.
You’re destined for greater things.
Bigger and better things.
And these problems of yours will seem small.

Yes, darling, they do seem to encompass your whole life right now.
As if your life depends on being friends with the cool group.
As if there’s definitely something wrong with you because the pretty popular girl doesn’t seem to like you.

But I’m telling you.
It seems hard to believe,
But you’ll rise.
And you won’t give a shit about these things.
And you’ll know what really matters.
You’ll finally gain some respect for yourself.
You’ll finally be a more evolved, pragmatic, kind, deep, thoughtful and a generous person – in your own eyes.
And that is what matters the most.

You’ll know, dear little girl with a sad face and low self esteem, that you’re capable of wonders. That there’s been a whole new life waiting for you, waiting to welcome you in its gracious arms.

You’ll know that this life is definitely happier, brighter and more colourful.

Just wait in there, you brave little girl. Just wait.
You’re destined for greater things.
Bigger and better things.
