Bomb Bay !! … I used to live there.. Shimpoli.. B’villi… ran away from there.. that flat was as big as my hall.. and I would pace around like a caged tiger and finally everyone got fed up with it.. and suggested that I could go back 😀
Let me guess… tamizh-aa? or kannadiga.. ?
Oh… dear… you are not a Hebbar, are you? 😀
Ok, Mangalorean here.. no wonder.. I mean, I just came here and I thought you were somehow familiar, hahaha.. at least, that is the way I have been commenting here 😀
I’m sorry, what does hebbar mean? 🙈🙈
I’m from dharwad. It’s near hubli.
The people here are more familiar than most of the people I’ve met in real life. 😛
no longer a Mangalorean accent though.. all the cretins here are talking Radio FM nonsense.. like Bangaloreans.. horrible.. no one really uses the Mangalore accent anymore.. “Idu sakkar chennagidey.. or Yen Bombaat aagide.. ” Once upon a time we used to proud upon our accent and our language.. no the same trash as in the capital city.. horrible..
I detest that pretentious place.. hollow, including the people.. Garden city, pub city.. one thing after the other.. uncultured, presumptuous little town..
(in the old days I used to wryly say, if Bombay passed dung once and it fell in lump on to earth, it would still smother Bangalore and then some.. but it always pretended to be a Metro of some sort.. )
Hahahah! I like bangalore and the people there! Maybe that’s because I’ve only visited bangalore twice. Soo I’m not quite sure.
But I loveeeee mumbai. Love it. There’s no second opinion about it. 😀
Yup, for sure.. except.. the Bombay I know has become Mumbai now and with it the cosmopolitan character is also now gone.. so sad.. I used to come there every year since my childhood…. but when I went to live there.. it was completely different.. filled with people who were different.. more north Indians.. and the entire nature of the city had changed.. you would have loved the old Bombay for sure..
Oh! If you know Bombay then you might be quite older than me! And I’ve been treating you like you’re my age! Calling you by name and everything! 🙈🙈 *embarrassed*
why would you be embarrassed.. not at all.. I am quite ok with anything.. don’t be any different now 🙂
Age issues irk me.. people older than I by a few decades here, call me Kishore Anna.. and I am used to it now.. still it irks me.. My best friends throughout life were decades older than I and though there are very few left now, I used to call them by their first name.. still do.. since my childhood.. so all this respect for age business is all hogwash 😀
Don’t you dare talk to me in any other way from now on..
And Bombay.. er.. it will always be Madras for me, Ooty, Bangalore, Calcutta.. likewise Bombay… I dislike these cosmetic changes.. as if we are ashamed of what used to be etc.. 🙂
Oh, wow! That’s a huge compliment! 😀
Thank you!
And I enjoyed doing the first one the most. It was also the quickest painting. Like, it was done in five minutes! Also, it was my first ‘imaginative’ painting.
Ok, I’ll stop rambling.
Hahahah no! My teacher has taught me only trees. So I’m sticking to painting only trees for now. I must admit though, I’m starting to get bored with trees!
And thanks!
Can’t really choose.. I like the second one.. and probably the last one reminds me of my home 🙂

Oh! You like the second one?! I’ve been feeling kinda dicey about it! I’m so glad you like it!
I’m guessing here, do you live in the south? 😀

Hahaha, I originate from south, too! I live in a different place now, though.

Oh, ok… I thought you were from Mangalore.. ok, Dharwad, like the peda.. 😀
Banri, kunri… rokka byada 😀 … my mom was an RM in Hubli.. so had a lot of friends there too.. all around..
And you are right, yes, some of them are really very familiar, more than people in real life.. 🙂

I love the very first one! there is a 3D ness to it, with leaves in the front being darker than the ones in the back. It tells how talented you are!

Mythili 😀 Ugh. I can’t even do the whole “The name’s bond,James bond” routine since my name would probably only sound mysterious to maybe a kitten..:$

Mythili! That’s a beautiful name! 😀
And I know right? But lemme give it a try:
The name’s Kalkoti. *pauses* Shubhada Kalkoti.
Hm. I could become the next James Bond.

This is just so UNFAIR! I paint like a three year with no parental supervision, so you have to let me keep my ‘Bond’ moment to myself. 😛
