Hi people. How are you today?
This is something I painted with water colours. I’ve joined this water colour painting classes and my teacher hasn’t taught me exactly HOW to paint yet. But ofcourse, since I was too excited, I decided to try it myself. Okay, I didn’t do it completely by myself. I did watch some YouTube videos on how to paint. But that doesn’t count, right? I didn’t find them helpful, anyway.
This is the painting.
Now, I want you to critically examine this. How is it? Childish? Where should I improve?

Very nice… I am not much of an artist to offer a critical analysis.. I just liked it 🙂
My useless suggestion, though, would be to study composition.. the concept… like in photography 🙂 The concept of a subject.. a focus… or on the contrary, to look at the larger view.. even if it is merely metaphorical..
On the other hand, who cares? 😀 Do it for the love of it, even if it sends no message, has no meaning and you do it on a whim.. choose colours from your imagination, even if reality is starkly different, whatever strikes you, from the simple to the bizarre. But, feel it, completely, like in any other art form.. 🙂
(Caution: I know nothing about art… so take my constipated/(ing?) advice with a pinch of salt and a purgative as well hehe).

Oh, why not? Busy with the academics or just fed up with the internet world. I certainly hope not.. I wish you did keep posting from time to time.. Would be nice to hear from you more often 🙂

Both, actually! It’s my Third year in college so it’s an important year. But I’m not that serious about it. I’m kinda bored of the Internet. So I didn’t post or read anything for a while!

I’m not painter, nor a critic. My feeling? The shift in the sky from the twilight shades of red and yellows to the blues of night was a little abrupt. Liked the trees though. 🙂

Yes, the strokes are too raw. This was just a try.. I’ll learn to be better after my teacher shows me how to do it!

And I am seriously not a painter. I draw. But painting seems to ruin it all.
Anyway,the merging in the background is the technique I generally use while painting a scenic view. I use blue at the top,orangish middle ,yellowish bottom, too.:D
This actually looks similar to the one I painted in my practical. 😍

Hahahahaha no,I don’t. The school people never gave it back. They keep those for records or something. But I will try to paint something similar when I go home this time and then post it,whatsay? But I am not that good.🙈🙈
