Blogging = Watching Television!

Did you know that blogs are so much like a serial?

Now, in this paragraph, assume serials=blogs and episodes=posts. (yeah, I’m into equations and maths lately. But don’t you worry, I promise I’m not trying to explain a confusing theorem here.)

Anyway, serials (blogs) air their episodes (posts) everyday. Some air them weekly or some randomly. Some serials (blogs) are all serious and philosophical, some are humorous, some are both. Some are motivating, some educating and some thought evoking.

Blogging is just like watching a TV, isn’t it? You wait for your favourite episodes (posts) everyday. While surfing, you stop when you find a serial (blog) interesting and you go – “Yeah, I think I’m gonna follow this serial/blog from now.”

Only difference here, is you get to air your serials too, and you get to interact with the makers of your favourite serials! How awesome is that?

Tell me what you think about this!

(please keep your comments to yourself if you disagree.) (haha, noo don’t! I’m kidding!) (my friend has given me this habit of being fake-mean, shocking people, and then saying “hee-hee, kidding!”. It’s an annoying habit, and I don’t know how I picked up on it.) (this is my fourth bracket, I don’t know if it’s even grammatically correct. Who am I kidding? It’s obviously not grammatically correct.) (but it’s fun.) (Okay, bye.)

Well, if the brackets in the last paragraph were used like they are used in maths, the equation WOULD be quite confusing and difficult.

Importantly though, this was an interesting perpective on this community! 🙂

Hahahah, I know! I tried hard to compose my thoughts for this one. If anyone ever read my direct thoughts, without my proofreading, it would’ve been confusing like shit.

And thanks. (for not disagreeing. :P)

Great! But just a question, what makes you want to binge-watch comedies? Dramas have cliffhangers to make people curious and so they tend to binge-watch those but comedies don’t. Love to hear your thoughts 😀

        Liked by 1 person

      10. shubhada says:

I don’t know. In the comedy serials you connect SO much with the characters. It’s funny and at the same time relatable. And I don’t know if everyone feels this, but I feel kinda happy – the warm fuzzy feeling kind of happy – when the show ends. They always reach to some conclusion in the end, however random or stupid those conclusions are, I love them.

And then you feel like you want to watch one more episode, feel happy and connect with the characters again. And again. And again.

      11. that90'skid says:

Yes I know that feeling! The light hearted content makes for great identification with the characters and makes me feel happy when watching comedies too 😀 There isn’t emotional ups and downs like dramas that can really make everything intense so it’s more enjoyable as an experience! Thanks for your thoughts on this!

I like your perception towards blogging. You won’t believe me, I have been thinking the same thing about blogs and post.
I feel this is a place where you entertain and get entertained by fellow bloggers, bloggers who we think as a friend but end of the they are all strangers. Believe me if you don’t know the person you will never understand his writings.

Also, blog-reading is also like watching your shows on-demand, when you want them on your time schedule. Back in the day, this old Pupa had to watch TV shows … wait for it … when they were broadcast! Could you even imagine? So this is how I say sorry I have been late reading your posts the last few days. Busy busy busy getting back home after our Cape Cod vacation.

You are correct. The best bloggers always leave you not just wanting to read their next post, but needing to read it. Just like great episodic TV. Have a great day, smart Shooby Doo!
