City Bred Flowers

I think we all are like city bred flowers.

Yes, they are beautiful.
But they  are limited.
To a windowsill.

Whereas we are limited by our own ideas.
Our materialism.
Our egos.
Our anger.

Yes, we are beautiful.
Just like city bred flowers are.
But we are limited.
By our own ideas.

And that’s the difference between the wild flowers in the forest and the potted flowers in the windowsill.

The wildflowers are wild.
They grow to whichever length they want to.
They grow in whichever direction they want to.

Whereas the flowers in the windowsill?
They’re restricted by the cages of the windowsill.
