Back to Mumbai!

Soooo I’m back Mumbai! And I’m so happy that even the 35 degree Celsius temperature doesn’t dampen my spirits.

So I reached mumbai day before yesterday, and the next day – that is yesterday – I went to get my merit scholarship (yes, I got selected for a scholarship on the national level!).

The lady in office actually thanked me for coming and I was about to say “NO, thank YOU for giving the scholarship!!!“. But I restrained myself. Be cool Shubs, be cool. All I said was “Hehe, no, you don’t have to thank me!” which I realised later was equally unintelligent. Ugh. Why do people have to be so polite? I don’t understand how to respond without being awkward!

One thing I particularly liked was – I was asked to sign on a couple of sheets and I noticed I was signing above a line called “Schollar’s signature“.
Schollar? ME? A schollar? Oh my god! I’m being called a schollar!

My best friend had accompanied me. We had met after a month and it was SO good to see her and those cute dimples! Let me tell you, she’s ALWAYS smiling, so those dimples are permanent fixtures on her cheeks! She’s even smiling when she’s mad. Why was she mad, you ask me? I was late. *cringing guiltily*

Anyway, she couldn’t be mad for long. And we talked and talked over a coffee (for her) and pink lemonade slush (for me). Then we went shopping.

I encountered a really awkward moment when we left a shop arguing about their high prices, but when we couldn’t find ANYTHING good, we went back to the same shop to buy a top I had liked. Awkward. Not to mention embarrassing. Especially after sarcastic and angry remarks about their prices.

By the way, I’m sorry for being so whiny lately! I promise to be better this week!
