Magic and more.

So I’m reading the last part of the harry potter series. (No, I’m not re-reading it. I was never really interested in books about ‘magic’ or anything unreal. But when my best friend realised I had never read harry potter, she took it as a personal offence. And made it her goal to make sure I read it. I’m glad she succeeded in her quest.)

When I reached the ending of the first part, I realised its not merely about some stupid magic. It’s about courage. About doing the right thing, however challenging it is. About love. About loss and how people cope with it. About how important and rewarding loyalty is. And lastly about how strong the power of friendship is. (I find friendship is always underrated when we talk about ‘love’ but this book gave it the importance it deserves.)

It taught me so much about life. About how everything isn’t ideal. Everything isn’t rosy. But you can still enjoy the less than ideal situation if you’ve got the right attitude.

No, the book isn’t just about magic. It’s so much more. I wish I had read the book earlier in my life. I have a feeling I would have become a better person than I am now. But I’m glad I have a friend who forces me to do things I don’t want to.

Harry, Hermione, Ron, Fred, George, Ginny, Neville and Luna lovegood are now my friends too. Molly weasely feels like my own mom. And Lupin, my ex-defence against the dark arts teacher. I’m reading the last book too slowly. I really don’t want it to end.

Thank you for redirecting me to this post of yours πŸ˜€ Yes HP series was my first ever novel series and definitely a very top rated and a complete series. Complete the last part slowly πŸ˜› and if its over don’t worry, you can read more of all the characters here http://hpmor.com/
Here, a fan of HP series has written his own version of HP series, with the same characters but not necessarily sewed in the same manner.
Spoiler Alert: Harry & Ron are not best buddies in it πŸ˜€ and I also havent started it yet πŸ˜› just learned it from a friend πŸ™‚ Happy reading !!

  4. Haha.. I read Harry Potter series a few months back.. & believe me! I had EXACTLY the same kind of feelings that you’ve described!
Many of my reader-friends had already read it & they were like, shocked when it came to their notice that me, an avid reader, haven’t YET read it. (I ain’t much interested in fiction or fantasy, that’s mainly why I was avoiding reading a magical book like Harry Potter!)
But after repeated requests from my friends.. I did read it. & yes, I don’t at all regret it! πŸ˜‰
The series is awesome! It teaches us important life lessons! J.K. Rowling is truly a wonderful writer! πŸ™‚

Hahah. I didn’t know there was ANYONE who is an avid reader but hasn’t read hp, except me of course! Glad to know I have a company. πŸ˜€
I used to think why there is SO much hype about hp, it’s just a book about silly magic. But now I think it deserved all that hype and more! πŸ™‚
